Pastor John Graf
Our pastor John Graf, was born in Brooklyn, New York and was raised Catholic. As a boy, he moved to Long Island and later graduated from Comsewogue High School.
In 1975, he joined the United States Air Force and served honorably for 4 years. While stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota, he was faithfully witnessed to by another young airman. On September 14, 1976, Pastor Graf realized his need for a Saviour and in repentance and faith called on the Lord to save him.
Shortly thereafter, he married his high school sweetheart, Liz and knew for certain that the Lord was calling him to preach. After joining Bible Baptist Church in East Grand Forks Minnesota he attended and graduated from Northland Baptist Bible Institute.
He, and his wife and four children were sent form their home church in June of 1985 to start a work in New York. The church was organized in the fall of 1986. Pastor Graf has pastored Long Island Baptist Church for 32 years.
